Customer information

Delivery, postage
& returns.

Clear information for digital downloads and tracked physical-book orders from MCR Life Made Simple Guides.

01

Digital products

PDFs, eBooks and other downloadable products have £0 postage and do not require a delivery address. A protected PDF link is released only after payment is confirmed. If an order contains both a digital product and a physical book, postage is calculated only for the physical items.

Before an immediate digital download is supplied, customers are asked to consent to delivery beginning during the cancellation period and to acknowledge that the cancellation right is lost once downloading begins. This does not affect rights where digital content is faulty or not as described.

UK physical-book delivery

One packed copy of The Healing Power of Forgiveness is approximately 500 g and no more than 25 mm thick, so it is configured as a Royal Mail Large Letter. Two- and three-copy orders use separate Small Parcel profiles and do not multiply the one-copy charge.

Current quantity-based UK P&P

1 copy · Large Letter
Standard Tracked Delivery — Royal Mail Tracked 48: £2.90 · Express Tracked Delivery — Royal Mail Tracked 24: £3.90

Measured test weight: approximately 0.88 kg · checkout working limit: 1.0 kg
Standard Tracked Delivery — Royal Mail Tracked 48: £3.75 · Express Tracked Delivery — Royal Mail Tracked 24: £4.80

3 copies · Small Parcel · provisional packaging profile
Measured test weight: approximately 1.25 kg · checkout working limit: 1.4 kg
Standard Tracked Delivery — Royal Mail Tracked 48: £3.75 · Express Tracked Delivery — Royal Mail Tracked 24: £4.80

4 copies · Small Parcel · provisional packaging profile
Books before packaging: approximately 1.72 kg · checkout working limit: 2.0 kg
Delivery rate required — payment is disabled until the four-copy package is test-packed and confirmed.

For every quantity, the website checks the saved combined packed weight and dimensions. A Large Letter must remain at or below 1 kg, within 353 × 250 mm and no more than 25 mm thick. A Small Parcel must remain at or below 2 kg and within 450 × 350 × 160 mm. The four-copy profile is provisional because the books weigh approximately 1.72 kg before protective packaging; it cannot be checked out until the actual packed weight and dimensions are confirmed.

Five or more copies are not automatically offered at checkout. Five books weigh approximately 2.15 kg before packaging, so a confirmed profile must use Royal Mail Medium Parcel logic and a valid weight-band rate. If no package profile or delivery rate matches, the website displays “Delivery rate required” instead of £0 postage and prevents payment.

The active Royal Mail online carrier tariffs shown here are effective from 5 October 2026. Carrier postage and protective packaging are stored as separate editable amounts in the protected Commerce Control Centre; packaging is currently £0 and can be added transparently later. The customer sees their combined P&P total before payment. Delivery timeframes are carrier aims after dispatch rather than guarantees.

03

International tracked delivery

International delivery rates are currently inactive. Royal Mail International Tracked is the prepared initial service, but it will not become available until a genuine destination rate has been entered and is shown at checkout. A missing or £0 placeholder rate means unavailable—not free delivery—and payment remains disabled.

When activated, the available option and price will depend on destination country, packaged weight, dimensions and the current country-zone rate. The checkout will display the delivery aim, postage and packaging charge, and complete order total before payment.

Customs and import charges

International recipients may be charged import VAT, customs duty, local handling fees or other destination-country charges by the destination authority or carrier. These are separate from MCR’s product and delivery charges and are not included unless checkout specifically states otherwise.

Required customs information for physical goods—including the product description, value, weight, country of origin and commodity information—is retained with the order so customs documentation can be prepared correctly.

04

Dispatch, tracking and delays

The current dispatch estimate is shown at checkout. After MCR confirms dispatch with valid carrier tracking, the tracking number and secure carrier link appear on the order page and are sent in the dispatch email. Carrier delivery timeframes are aims or estimates rather than guarantees.

Carrier delays can occasionally occur because of weather, service disruption, customs or local delivery conditions. If tracking has not updated within the carrier’s expected period, please use the Contact page and include the order number so the delivery can be investigated.

05

Physical-book cancellation and returns

For eligible UK distance orders, please tell MCR within 14 days of receiving the book if you wish to cancel, then return it within 14 days of giving notice. You may handle the book only as much as reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. A refund may be reduced only where the item’s value has been diminished by handling beyond what was reasonably necessary.

Where required by law, an eligible cancellation refund includes the standard outbound delivery charge; any extra paid for an enhanced delivery service over the standard option need not be refunded. Customers normally pay return postage for a change-of-mind return when this was explained before purchase. MCR may wait for the returned goods or evidence of return before issuing the refund where the law permits.

Different rules may apply to personalised products or another lawful exception. Faulty or misdescribed goods have separate statutory remedies. Nothing in this policy limits statutory rights.

06

Damaged, incorrect or lost orders

If a book arrives damaged, is incorrect, faulty or appears to be lost in transit, please contact MCR with the order number. Photographs of damage and packaging are helpful where reasonably possible, but they are not a condition of discussing a statutory remedy. Depending on the circumstances, the available remedy may include a refund, repair or replacement. Any carrier investigation does not reduce the customer’s statutory rights, and reasonable return costs for faulty or incorrectly supplied goods will not be left with the customer.
